Wayne Newton Tickets

Wayne Newton has spent more decades on the Las Vegas Strip than most performers spend in their entire careers, and he's still headlining events nearly 70 years after his first Vegas booking.

Known simply as "Mr. Las Vegas," Newton built his reputation on old-school showmanship, warm audience interaction, and a catalogue of hits that still fill seats today.

If "Danke Schoen" is the only song you know him for, a full Wayne Newton show tends to reveal just how much history and storytelling comes with it.

What to Expect from a Wayne Newton Concert?

A Wayne Newton show follows the classic Vegas showroom format, mixing hit songs with stories from a career that stretches back to the late 1950s.

Newton is known for talking directly with the audience, taking requests, and reshaping familiar songs on the spot depending on the mood of the room.

He plays several instruments live, including guitar, banjo, and piano, weaving instrumental moments in between the vocal numbers.

The tone stays warm and personal throughout, closer to an evening with an old friend than a tightly scripted arena set.

Artist Biography

Wayne Newton was born Carson Wayne Newton on 3 April 1942 in Norfolk, Virginia, and began performing professionally as a child alongside his older brother, Jerry.

The Newton Brothers landed a two-week booking at the Fremont Hotel in Las Vegas in 1959, a run that stretched into nearly a year and set the course for Newton's career.

He launched his solo career in the early 1960s with the help of singer Bobby Darin, scoring hits including "Danke Schoen" and "Red Roses for a Blue Lady."

Over the following decades, Newton shifted from recording artist to full-scale Vegas headliner, becoming one of the highest-paid entertainers on the Strip and eventually earning his own boulevard named in his honor in 1994.

He has performed tens of thousands of shows across his career, a run of consistency that stands apart even among Las Vegas's other legendary residency performers.

Wayne Newton's Albums & Projects

Newton's recording career peaked commercially in the 1960s and 1970s, with "Danke Schoen" and "Red Roses for a Blue Lady" remaining his best-known studio recordings.

Rather than continuing to chase chart hits, he shifted his focus toward live performance from the 1970s onward, building his career around extended Las Vegas engagements instead of new album cycles.

His most enduring project has become his long-running residency itself, which has evolved over the decades while keeping his signature songs and storytelling at its core.
