Charlie Puth Biography

Charlie Puth was born in Rumson, New Jersey, in December 1991, and he started to learn how to play the piano at the tender age of four. He graduated from the Berklee College of Music in 2013 and had already been making great use of his YouTube channel to gain exposure.

His appearance on the Ellen DeGeneres Show greatly built up his star power and led to a surge of interest in Charlie Puth.

He self released a number of EPs before he was signed by APG/Atlantic in 2014 and the following year he released his debut single, Marvin Gaye, featuring Meghan Trainor, which was a number one hit in the UK and went to number 21 on the US Billboard chart.

That single featured on Charlie Puth's debut album, Nine Track Mind, which received glowing reviews and scored the youngster a top ten hit on the US Billboard Album charts and sold well across Europe and the globe.
