Meghan Trainor Biography

Pop starlet Meghan Trainor was born in Nantucket, Massachusetts, in December 1993 and began singing at the age of six alongside her organist father at a local Methodist church. At age 12 she was part of Fusion, a covers band and at age 13 she wrote her first song, titled Give Me a Chance.

The precocious talent released her own materials as a teenager and these secured her some exposure and in 2014 she broke into the big time when her debut single, All About That Bass, proved a worldwide smash.

The track topped the US and UK Charts and went on to achieve Diamond status in the United States when she shifted more than 10 million units and was also a chart topper across Europe and around the world, elevating her to superstar status pretty much overnight.

Follow up singles Lips Are Movin, Dear Future Husband and Like I'm Gonna Lose You (featuring John Legend), also all performed well on the charts and her debut album, Title, sold over three million copies in the United States alone.

Sell out tours followed and the phenomenon that is Meghan Trainor had begun. Her follow up album Thank You, also charted well and spawned further hit singles including No and Me Too. In 2015 she teamed up with Charlie Puth on the track Marvin Gaye.

2020 saw the release of Meghan Trainor's third studio album, Treat Myself, which was followed just nine month later with her A Very Trainor Christmas album, both of which were well recieved by fans and critics alike.
