Nick Jonas Biography

Nick Jonas was born in September 1992 in Dallas, Texas and was raised in New Jersey. By the age of seven he was performing on Broadway, in Les Miserables, among other productions, and was signed by Columbia Records.

He released his debut album, Nicholas Jonas, in 2005 before he joined his brothers to form the Jonas Brothers.

Between 2006 and 2009, the band released four studio albums and secured immense success before taking a break, and Nick Jonas returned to forging his solo career in earnest. In 2010, he contributed to the soundtrack for the film Camp Rock 2, along with Demi Lovato, Joe Jonas, Alyson Stoner and Anna Maria Perez de Tagle.

His self-titled second album, released in 2014, proved a big success, reaching the top ten in the US and spawning the singles Chains and Jealous. His third album, Last Year Was Complicated was an even bigger success, reaching number two on the US charts as well as performing well across the world.

Though the Jonas Brothers returned as a group in 2019 this didn't prevent Nick Jonas from releasing his fourth studio album, Spaceman, which was critically acclaimed and a commercial success.

Nick Jonas has performed with the best of the best over the course of his solo career; among those he has teamed up with have been Tinashe, Tove Lo, Anne-Marie, Robin Schulz, Nicki Minaj and Shania Twain.
