Anne-Marie Biography

Anne-Marie Rose Nicholson was born in April 1991 in East Tilbury, Essex and at the age of five, she joined a stage school. She then went on to appear in a number of West End productions as a child, these included stints in Les Miserables and Whistle Down the Wind.

In 2013 she was signed by Rocket Music and then by Asylum Records in 2015. She released her debut EP, Karate, in 2015, and the following year, her single Alarm was a smash hit, charting across Europe.

This was quickly followed by another hit, Ciao Adios, which broke into the top ten on the UK singles chart. She appeared with Clean Bandit and Sean Paul on the global hit Rockabye, which went to number one in the UK and reached number nine on the US Billboard Singles chart.

Anne Marie released her debut album, Speak Your Mind, in 2018, and it reached number three in the UK and number 31 in the United States. Other singles from this release were Friends (with Marshmello) and 2002.
