Anne-Marie Biography

Anne-Marie Rose Nicholson was born in April 1991 in East Tilbury, Essex and at the age of five, she joined a stage school. She then went on to appear in a number of West End productions as a child, these included stints in Les Miserables and Whistle Down the Wind.

In 2013 she was signed by Rocket Music and then by Asylum Records in 2015. She released her debut EP, Karate, in 2015, and the following year, her single Alarm was a smash hit, charting across Europe.

This was quickly followed by another hit, Ciao Adios, which broke into the top ten on the UK singles chart. She appeared with Clean Bandit and Sean Paul on the global hit Rockabye, which went to number one in the UK and reached number nine on the US Billboard Singles chart.

Anne Marie released her debut album, Speak Your Mind, in 2018, and it reached number three in the UK and number 31 in the United States. Other singles from this release were Friends (with Marshmello) and 2002.

2021's Therapy was another big success and includes the singles To Be Young (featuring Doja Cat), Don't Play (with KSI and Digital Farm Animals), Way Too Long, Our Song (with Niall Horan) and Kiss My (Uh-Oh), with Little Mix.

In 2022 Anne-Marie married rapper Slowthai, doing so secretly in Las Vegas.

A new album followed in 2023, with Unhealthy securing glowing reviews and being yet another commercial smash. On that album she worked with Aitch and Shania Twain. In the same year she teamed up with DJ Khalid on You & I, another hit.

Anne-Marie has been a consistent success, releasing a string of chart-topping songs and albums and she has also gone on to receive a number of accolades.
