SS Lazio have made a number of appearances in the Europa League over the years and their supporters are considered by many as some of the most fierce football fans in the entire world. Indeed, the club have also managed to reach the Europa League semi-final stage on one other occasion, but were comprehensively beaten by FC Porto and a youthful Jose Mourinho in 2002/03.
