FKA Twigs Biography

Tahliah Debrett Barnett, aka FKA Twigs, was born in January 1988 in Cheltenham and comes from a creative family. Her mother was a dancer, and her father was a musician, and at the age of 16, she started to turn her hand to making music herself.

LP1

FKA Twigs released her debut album, creatively titled LP1, in 2014, and it charted well worldwide, breaking into the top 40 in both the UK and the US. This came two years after her debut EP, EP1 and was a real dance floor pleaser.

In 2019, Magdalene came out and was another commercial success, which included a string of strong singles with Holy Terrain, Home with You and Sad Day, all performing well. These featured very well-produced music videos, which also helped to build exposure to FKA Twigs's undoubted talent.
