Italy vs Slovakia UEFA Euros Tournament Record
Italy, at the time of writing, are two time winners of the UEFA European Championships and have come mighty close to securing additional titles in the process.
The first occasion they qualified for the finals of the tournament was in 1968, and they went on to win the competition on that occasion, beating Yugoslavia after a replay in Rome.

At Euro 2012, Italy once again made it to the final, but on this occasion, they were completely outclassed by Spain, with David Silva, Jordi Alba, Fernando Torres, and Juan Mata scoring the goals in a 4-0 win in Kyiv.
Euro 2020 saw Italy finally collect their second title. Roberto Mancini’s side eased through the group phase before then beating Austria, Belgium, and Spain to set up a final with England at Wembley Stadium.
Manchester United defender Luke Shaw put the Three Lions ahead before Juventus defender Leonardo Bonucci scored for Italy in the second half. The game went to penalties, and though both Andrea Belotti and Jorginho failed to score from the spot, Mancini’s side still picked up the famous trophy due to misses from Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho, and Bukayo Saka.
Slovakia have twice qualified for the UEFA European Championship finals since gaining independence, the first of these coming at Euro 2016, where they did well to get to the Round of 16, where they were eased out by Germany 3-0.
Euro 2020 proved less successful, with Sokoli failing to get out of the group phase.

Italy and Slovakia have never previously met in UEFA European Championship action, and their only competitive tie to date actually came at the finals of the 2010 FIFA World Cup.
On that occasion, a brace from Robert Vittek helped Slovakia to a surprise 3-2 win in Johannesburg, which saw them qualify for the next phase at the expense of the Italians.
