Kodaline Tickets

Kodaline began as teenagers busking around Dublin and ended up with a debut album that topped the Irish charts and later gave Channel 4's Gogglebox its theme tune.

The Swords-born band built a sound around sweeping piano lines, shimmering guitars, and choruses designed for a whole room to sing back, earning comparisons to Coldplay, U2, and Oasis along the way.

In October 2025 they announced they would disband after a fifth and final album, which gives every Kodaline concert an unusual weight.

What to Expect from a Kodaline Concert?

Steve Garrigan's voice carries the night, rising from near-whispered verses into big, open-throated choruses that tend to turn into crowd singalongs.

Piano and acoustic guitar anchor the quieter stretches, while the full band lifts songs like "All I Want" into something closer to a communal release.

The mood leans emotional rather than flashy, with lyrics about loss, anxiety, and growing up landing differently when thousands sing them together.

Garrigan has said "High Hopes" came from a really honest place, and that honesty is the thread running through the whole set.

Kodaline's Biography

Steve Garrigan and Vinny May grew up together in Swords, north Dublin, and formed the band with Mark Prendergast, first performing as 21 Demands.

As 21 Demands they finished runner-up on the Irish talent show You're a Star in 2006, and their single "Give Me a Minute" became the first independently released track to top the Irish singles chart.

They rebranded as Kodaline in 2012 and were shortlisted for the BBC's Sound of 2013, a poll that tips acts expected to break through that year.

Bassist Jason Boland rounded out the lineup, and the debut album that followed went multi-platinum and reached number three in the UK.

After more than a decade together, the band announced in 2025 that they would call it a day once their fifth studio album was finished.

Kodaline's Albums & Projects

In a Perfect World arrived in 2013 and entered the Irish chart at number one, followed by Coming Up for Air in 2015.

Politics of Living landed in 2018, becoming the band's third Irish number one, and One Day at a Time followed in 2020, peaking at number two in Ireland.

Their fifth and final album, We Were Only Young, was released in October 2026 and is the first full record written entirely by Garrigan.

Most Popular Kodaline Songs and Setlist Selections

"All I Want" and "High Hopes" are the songs most fans are waiting for, both drawn from their debut-era run.

"The One" and "Honest" both reached the UK top 40, and newer material like "Sometimes" often sits alongside them in the set.

Previous Kodaline Tours and Festival Appearances

Kodaline took their live set well beyond Ireland, with festival slots like Summer Sonic in Japan and tours that reached Asian cities such as Singapore.

Hometown dates were reserved for large outdoor venues, including Virgin Media Park in Cork and Malahide Castle in Dublin.

Irish contemporaries such as The Script have built similar international followings, and Kodaline's piano-led anthems are regularly set alongside Coldplay in comparisons.
