Leicester City vs Aston Villa Head-to-Head

These teams first shared a pitch in 1905, in the First Round of the FA Cup. AVFC recorded a 5-1 win at Villa Park and went on to capture the title for the fourth time. Leicester & Aston Villa contested a league fixture for the first time in 1908, after the former earned top-flight status.

Leicester City continued to face Aston Villa regularly over the years and they would meet in the second season of the Premier League (1994/95). The clubs remained fierce competitors in the late 1990s and early 2000s before they went a decade without meeting in the Premier League with LCFC confined to the EFL Championship (and briefly League One) from 2004-2014.

The clubs have crossed paths in the FA Cup only a few times, though they did clash in the Fifth Round in 2015. AVFC ran out 2-1 winners on their way to reaching the FA Cup final that year.
