Noel Gallagher Biography

Noel Gallagher, alongside brother Liam, formed Oasis in 1991, and the band went on to become a worldwide phenomenon, selling over 75 million records over the course of nearly two decades, prior to the band's break-up, fueled by the friction between the two siblings.

When Oasis split, Noel Gallagher formed his High Flying Birds, and from 2010 to the present day, the band has proven a big success both commercially as well as with fans of the former guitarist of the Britpop legends.

Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds released their debut album in 2011, and it went on to sell over two and a half million copies in the UK alone. It also charted well across Europe and the United States. The album spawned a string of hit singles, including The Death of You and Me, If I Had a Gun... and Dream On.

Four years later, a second album was released with Chasing Yesterday once again going to number one in the UK, and the same was true of Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds' album, Who Built the Moon? which included the incredibly catchy single Holy Mountain.

A fourth studio album came out six years later, with Council Skies enjoying glowing reviews though it was the first of the band's studio albums to not go to number one in the UK, albeit it did get to number two.
