If you want to be considered in the league of Europe’s football big boys, you’ve got to be successful on the biggest stages. The Europa League is one such opportunity, providing another possible shot at glory if you are not eligible to compete on the biggest stage – which is the Champions League.
Gone are the days when the Europa League was nothing more than a second-fiddle tournament. UEFA's secondary club competition is even considered more significant than many domestic leagues because of the cash prize and opportunities up for grabs.
All of the participating teams embrace the Europa League with a sense of competitiveness and enthusiasm, and this has made the tournament more thrilling than ever. The Europa League is an alternative route to greatness, and its ever-evolving format ensures that there is always plenty at stake.
For those fans who aren't season ticket holders of a competing club, SeatPick is here to help you find & buy Europa League tickets at competitive prices on the resale market. Our platform is the optimal place to discover affordable football tickets online and secure them in a safe & reliable manner.
The Europa League is a major club competition which was formerly known as the UEFA Cup until 2009. It is the second most prestigious competition for European football clubs after the Champions League.
The tournament presents a second opportunity for teams who didn't qualify for the Champions League, ensuring that teams stay relevant in Europe even if they’ve finished slightly below the Champions League places in their domestic standings.
The format of the Europa League has changed a number of times over the years, but has constantly involved a number of preliminary and qualifying rounds prior to the group stage.
The latest alteration to the Europa League format came ahead of the 2024/25 season. This change saw the 32-team Europa League group stage replaced by a 36-team league phase. Instead of eight groups consisting of four competitors each, all 36 teams are grouped together in a single 'league' format.
In the new Europa League league phase, every club will play against eight different teams – four at home and four away – instead of facing three sides twice each for a total of six matches. At the end of the league phase, the top eight teams will automatically qualify for the Round of 16.
Those placed from 9th - 24th will then compete in a two-legged knockout phase play-off, with the eight victorious clubs advancing to the last-16. The eight losing sides are eliminated from the Champions League and from European football awhole, similarly to those ranked 25th - 36th in the league phase.
The competition then continues as a traditional knockout tournament, with a Round of 16, quarter-finals, semi-finals, and the final. The Europa League final is, without doubt, one of the biggest matches in the football calendar, and interest in Europa League final tickets is therefore, unsurprisingly, very high.

You can always visit a club’s website to view ticket prices, or, alternatively, you can check out SeatPick for trusted ticket pricing info.
Prices tend to start from €35 per ticket on the official sites, and on average range between €75 to €200 on the secondary market depending on the teams that play. Prices tend to be significantly higher when English teams are involved.
The Europa League has been contested by dozens of excellent teams, with some of Europe's very best clubs clinching this trophy multiple times over the years.
Sevilla FC are seven-time winners of this title, more than any other side, and all but two of their seven successes have come in the current Europa League era. Manager Unai Emery was the driving force behind Sevilla becoming the team with the most Europa League wins.
Italian giants Inter Milan & Juventus have won this trophy three times apiece, as have Liverpool & Tottenham, as well as Atletico Madrid. The Spanish outfit captured all of their three Europa League titles from 2010 onwards.
Other victorious clubs in recent years have included Manchester United, Chelsea, Eintracht Frankfurt, and Atalanta.
