JLS Biography

JLS burst onto the scene as UFO on the fifth series of The X Factor and then had to change their name to JLS, a move that certainly paid off in the long run.

The boyband, consisting of Aston Merrygold, Oritse Williams, Marvin Humes, and JB Gill, signed with Epic and released their debut album in 2009.

String Of Number Ones

The band's self-titled debut went to number one and sold over a million copies in the UK alone and spawned a string of number-one singles, including the outrageously catchy tracks Everybody In Love, Beat Again, and One Shot.

2010 saw their second album, Outta This World, released, which again led to successful singles topping the UK singles chart.

Track The Club is Alive was followed by Love You More, both going to number one and proving the band's staying power.

She Makes Me Wanna

JLS's third album, Jukebox, continued the band's consistent success, and She Makes Me Wanna became their fifth UK number-one.

Breakup and Reunion

In 2013 the band confirmed they were splitting up with JLS and special guests playing The O2 Arena in London in what turned out to be one that no fan should miss, as it was their last for some time.

JLS 2.0

In 2019, it was confirmed the band would be reforming, and their fifth studio album, 2.0, did well and broke into the top ten in the UK, and the band have since been on tour playing to large crowds.
