Scotland vs Ukraine UEFA Euros Tournament Record

Prior to Euro 2024, Scotland had successfully qualified for three UEFA European Championship finals, with the first of these being Euro 1992 in Sweden.

They had the misfortune of being paired in the same group as the Netherlands, Germany, and the CIS, nonetheless, Scotland did relatively well to lose narrowly to Holland before being undone by Germany and then beating the CIS 3-0 to end their involvement in the competition on a high.

Euro 2020, therefore, represented a real marked improvement. A solitary win over North Macedonia was enough to see them qualify from their group, and they then defeated Sweden in the Round of 16 before capitulating against England in the Quarter-Finals, a game that they lost 4-0 in Rome.

Scotland vs Ukraine Head-to-Head

The only campaign that saw Scotland face Ukraine in the UEFA European Championship came in the qualifying for Euro 2008.

On that occasion, Ukraine beat the Scots 2-0 in Kyiv before Scotland got their revenge the following year, with goals from Kenny Miller, Lee McCulloch, and James McFadden securing a 3-1 win at Hampden Park.

As it turned out, neither team made it to the finals in Austria and Switzerland, with Italy and France taking the top two spots in the qualifying group.
