About Bournemouth Tickets 2026/27

AFC Bournemouth have a rich history in the game, but it's fair to say that in the club's over 100 years of existence, they've never been as successful as they are currently.

Having floated among the lower leagues for most of their history, the Cherries secured a maiden Premier League berth in 2015, under former manager Eddie Howe.

The Cherries have become a regular feature in England's top tier. They finished sixth, their highest-ever Premier League placing, and qualifyied for the UEFA Europa League for the first time in the club's history. Andoni Iraola left to become Liverpool manager in the summer of 2026, with Marco Rose appointed as his successor ahead of the 2026/27 season.

With the Vitality Stadium the smallest venue in the Premier League and Bournemouth performing impressively, demand for tickets to see the Cherries has increased dramatically.

Plans are underway to expand the Vitality Stadium to over 20,000 seats in the coming years, which would take the stadium to nearly double its current capacity and transform the matchday experience.

About Bournemouth Football Tickets

It's generally believed to be the case that the club was formed in the autumn of 1899 by reconstituting the town's previous team, Boscombe St. John's Institute Football Club.

Over the decades, the team reinvented itself on several occasions. It even looked for inspiration from the Italian club AC Milan, borrowing the Rossoneri's red and black colours. However, some diehard fans like to remind supporters that those were the original team colours from back in the day.

Bournemouth's Major Rivals

AFC Bournemouth's main rivals are fellow south-coast sides Southampton and Portsmouth.

Portsmouth and Bournemouth haven't met since January 2016, when the latter ran out 2-1 winners in an FA Cup Fourth Round tie at Fratton Park. Their last league meeting was contested in the 2012/13 League One campaign.

Bournemouth and Southampton first met in a Premier League fixture in 2015/16 and the rivals have shared a pitch more times in the last 15 years than throughout the 50 years prior.

Southampton were relegated from the Premier League in 2022/23, returned for 2024/25, but were immediately relegated again to the EFL Championship, meaning the two sides have rarely shared top-flight football in recent years.
