That same season saw this fixture played in the Fifth Round of the FA Cup; Lukaku and Barkley each appeared on the scoresheet in a 2-0 victory for Everton. The Merseyside outfit reached the semi-finals before crashing out to eventual champions Manchester United.

When the Toffees visited Dean Court in 2019, Callum Wilson was amongst the scorers as Bournemouth recorded victory by three goals to one. The Cherries won 3-0 in this fixture during the 2022/23 campaign, at which point Everton had yet to win at the Vitality Stadium in the Premier League.
