Miles Kane Biography

Miles Kane was born in March 1986 in Birkenhead, Merseyside, in the United Kingdom and at a very early age showed a talent for music. He learned to play the saxophone as a child, and two of his cousins went on to form The Coral.

At the age of 18, he joined The Little Flames, and with this band, he toured with and supported massive acts like the Zutons and the Arctic Monkeys. His next project was The Rascals and though they were lauded by the music press the band released just one album, with Rascalize being a moderate hit.

In 2007 he teamed up with Arctic Monkeys frontman Alex Turner to form The Last Shadow Puppets, a project that proved a critically acclaimed one. In 2009 he decided to go it alone and as a solo artist was signed to Columbia Records.

His debut album, Colour of the Trap, was released in 2011 and charted well across Europe and the followed up, Don't Forget Who You Are, came out in 2013 and broke into the top ten on the UK Albums chart.

Coup de Grace (2018) and Change the Show (2022) proved similarly successful, and the single Are You Getting Enough, with Professor Green proved a relative commercial success.

Miles Kane released his fifth studio album, One Man Band, in 2023 and it has proven his most successful release to date. It broke into the top five on the UK charts, and he is now considered one of the favourite artists on the road.
