England vs Ukraine UEFA Euros Tournament Record
England’s first involvement in the UEFA European Championship finals came in 1968 and saw Sir Alf Ramsey’s side finish third in the four-team tournament. This was followed by a long run of rather poor form, resulting in group-stage exits in 1980, 1988, and 1992, the combined result of which came in the form of zero wins.
Euro 96, which England hosted, proved to be a big positive step in the right direction.

The first 11 spot-kicks were all converted, and then up stepped Gareth Southgate, who failed to net, handing Germany passage to the final, where they would go on to beat the Czech Republic thanks to a golden goal from Oliver Bierhof.
Quarter-Final exits came in 2004, and 2012 before England suffered an embarrassing Round of 16 defeat to Iceland at Euro 2016 in France.
Euro 2020 proved relatively successful for Southgate, who was in the managerial hot seat for the finals, albeit England would go on to lose the Final to Italy.
Prior to that, England had looked impressive on their run to the climax of the tournament, beating Germany, Ukraine, and Denmark on their way to their first UEFA European Championship Final.

Ukraine have qualified for the UEFA European Championships on three occasions, the first of which came in 2012, when they were co-hosts along with Poland.
