Phish History

Phish were formed in 1983 at the University of Vermont. In 1989, they released their debut album, Junta, which was followed by Lawn Boy in 1990 and A Picture of Nectar in 1992.

1993's Rift proved a commercial success and was swiftly followed by Hoist the following year. In 1996, their sixth studio album, Billy Breathes, earned the band their first top-ten hit on the US Billboard Albums chart.

In 2004, the band disbanded, but thankfully for their army of followers, they reunited in 2008.

The prolific nature of their output is quite astounding. In 2014 Phish released Fuego, their thirteenth album, which was their first top-ten US hit in over a decade and proof that the band's sound and ethos was as strong and inviting as ever.
