The Gainbridge Firehouse franchise is yet to secure an NBA Championship but has won six Divisional titles and one Conference crown, that coming in 2000.

The Indiana Pacers joined the NBA in 1976, and for the first four seasons of involvement, they didn't manage to secure a route to the postseason.

In 1980-81, with new head coach Jack McKinney, this run came to a halt with the Indiana Pacers making it to the playoffs for the first time, losing out to the Philadelphia 76ers in two games.

Success Under Larry Brown

It wasn't until 1993-94 that the Pacers actually made serious inroads in the playoffs; on that occasion, they eased past the Orlando Magic and the Atlanta Hawks before losing out to the New York Knicks in a thrilling seven-game Conference Finals series.

They replicated that form the next season, this time losing to the Magic in the Conference Finals.

Losing Maiden NBA Finals Series

In 1999-00 the Indiana Pacers made it to their first-ever NBA Finals, losing to the Los Angeles Lakers in six games.

Under Frank Vogel, the Pacers made it through to the playoffs in four out of five seasons between 2011 and 2016, and the team hasn't really hit those heights since.

Out of Contention

Under coach Rick Carlisle the team has not impressed, completing losing record seasons in both 2021-22 and 2022-23, failing to even make it to the play-in tournament in either year.
