Austria vs Croatia UEFA Euros Tournament Record
The UEFA European Championships are arguably a far tougher competition than the FIFA World Cup, and in many ways, this statement is backed up by the form of the Austrian national team.
Das Team first made it to the FIFA World Cup in only the second year of its running, finishing in fourth place. By 1954 they had reached third spot in the finals in Switzerland and also made it to the 1958 finals in Sweden.
Compare and contrast that with Austria’s inability to make the same impact in the UEFA European Championships. Amazingly, they failed to qualify for the tournament in any of their first 12 attempts to do so.

Austria and Croatia have only previously met in one UEFA European Championship clash, and that came at the Euro 2008 finals.
