Austria vs Czech Republic UEFA Euros Tournament Record

Austria struggled for a long time just to get to the UEFA European Championship finals, only managing to do so at the 13th attempt. Even then, at Euro 2008, they only made it to the finals due to being co-hosts with Switzerland.

In those finals, they managed to secure just a single point and were eliminated. Euro 2016 saw Austria make it to the finals for the first time on merit and once again exited early due to a one-point haul from the group phase.

At Euro 2020, Austria performed admirably. Wins over North Macedonia and Ukraine saw them through to the Round of 16, where they were unfortunate to be knocked out by the eventual winners of the tournament, Italy, after extra time.

Austria vs Czech Republic Head-to-Head

Austria and the Czech Republic have previously faced each other on two occasions in the UEFA European Championships, both in the qualifying phase for Euro 2004.

Giant forward Jan Koller scored twice in the first of those two games as part of a 4-0 win for the Czech Republic in Prague.

Koller then struck the winner in a thrilling 3-2 win in Vienna, and the Czech Republic ended up topping the qualifying group, with Austria finishing in third place.
