Austria vs Poland UEFA Euros Tournament Record

Austria failed in their first twelve attempts to qualify for the UEFA European Championship finals and only made it to Euro 2008 on the basis of being co-hosts with Switzerland. Even then Das Team only managed a single point from their home tournament.

At Euro 2016, they suffered a similar feat, but at Euro 2020, they showed a marked improvement. They picked up their first-ever finals win by beating North Macedonia and then also overcame Ukraine to secure safe passage to the Round of 16.

Austria and Poland have met each other in three previous UEFA European Championship matches, with only one of these coming in the finals of the tournament.

That came at Euro 2008, with Roger Guerreiro opening the scoring for Poland before Austria scored a 93rd-minute equalizer through a penalty from Ivica Vastic.
