Aston Villa Tickets

Aston Villa Football Club was founded in 1874 and since then the Villans have typically found themselves playing in the top tier of English football. AVFC have won the domestic title seven times, the most recent in 1980-81, and that was followed by a European Cup triumph in what can be considered the club's golden era.

Unai Emery guided Aston Villa back to the Champions League and in 2025/26 secured a Europa League title that will live long in the memory.

Demand for Aston Villa tickets is always high especially for big European nights at Villa Park and major Premier League matches.

Aston Villa: The Biggest Club in Birmingham

Founded all the way back in 1874, Aston Villa are one of the biggest clubs in England and, courtesy of their 1982 European Cup win, can confidently say they have a history that includes winning the biggest trophy of all.

Four of the Villans' seven league titles were won in the 1890s. In addition, five of their seven FA Cup wins also came prior to World War One.

The next golden period for Aston Villa would not come until the early 1980s. AVFC won the First Division in 1981 and followed this up with a European Cup triumph the following year.

Played at De Kuip in Rotterdam, the 1982 European Cup final was won by Villa, 1-0 victors over Bayern Munich thanks to a solitary goal from Peter Withe. At the time, Aston Villa became just the fourth English club to win Europe's top prize.

The Villans were one of the founding members of the Premier League in 1992 and lasted in the top flight until succumbing to relegation to the EFL Championship in 2016.

AVFC returned to the Premier League in 2019 and a succession of managers have splashed the cash at Villa in recent years, including Dean Smith and Steven Gerrard. The appointment of Unai Emery in November 2022 really improved the club's fortunes and the Spaniard guided the Villans to qualify for the UEFA Conference League.

AVFC continued going from strength-to-strength with Emery guiding the Birmingham-based club to the Champions League in 2024/25, reaching the Quarter-Finals before being beaten by the eventual winners PSG.

Season 2025/2026 was a huge triumph for Emery and Villa. The Villains ended their 30-year wait for a trophy by smashing three past Freiburg in the Europa League final.

Aston Villa Season Ticket Prices

AVFC increased their season ticket prices in each of the last four seasons, as they battled for the top positions in the Premier League.

This saw some adult Aston Villa season tickets rise by more than 20% in the space of two years.

In line with plenty of Premier League clubs, Aston Villa put another increase on season tickets for 2026/27, this time by 5%.

How to Make the Most of Your Visit to Villa Park

Villa Park has been Aston Villa’s home since 1897 and remains one of English football’s most recognisable traditional grounds. The iconic stadium is currently operating with a reduced capacity of approximately 37,000 while the North Stand is rebuilt; the redevelopment is intended to take Villa Park beyond 50,000 seats when complete.

For supporters buying Aston Villa tickets, the standout choice is between the Holte End’s matchday intensity, a central view from the Trinity Road Stand, or a lower-priced seat elsewhere around the ground.

Where to Sit at Villa Park

Holte End: Behind the goal at the south end of the stadium, the Holte End is Villa Park’s most famous home stand. It is where much of the singing and pre-match anticipation comes from, particularly for big Premier League fixtures and European nights.

If being among the loudest home support matters more than having a halfway-line view, this is the area to prioritise. The lower tier also contains safe-standing sections, so check the individual ticket listing if you would rather remain seated.

Trinity Road Stand: Running along the west side of the pitch, the Trinity Road Stand offers some of the stadium’s strongest all-round views. Its central blocks face the halfway line, allowing supporters to see both penalty areas, the dugouts and the shape of the game.

This is the most suitable option for fans who value comfort and sightlines over goal-end atmosphere. It also houses premium facilities, so Aston Villa tickets in the best central areas can be among the more expensive options.

Doug Ellis Stand: On the opposite touchline, the Doug Ellis Stand has two tiers and provides a similarly side-on perspective. It is particularly useful for supporters looking for a clear view without paying for the most central Trinity Road seating.

Away fans are typically located towards the North Stand end of the Doug Ellis Stand, split across Blocks Q in the lower tier and P in the upper tier. That means home supporters who prefer not to be close to the visiting allocation should check their block before buying.

North Stand: The North Stand is currently closed for the 2026/27 season as part of the redevelopment project, so it should not be considered when searching for Aston Villa tickets at present. Its closure has temporarily altered the available capacity and can affect the seating arrangements shown on older stadium maps.

Picking Your Villa Park Experience

Villa Park rewards choosing a seat based on the type of matchday you want rather than simply picking the lowest price. The Holte End delivers the emotional, crowd-led side of watching Aston Villa; the Trinity Road Stand gives the clearest tactical picture; and the Doug Ellis Stand can offer a practical balance between price and view.

Before completing your purchase, check the specific block and tier on the listing. This is especially important during the North Stand redevelopment, as standard seating maps and older guides may not reflect the current matchday layout.
