Levante UD Spanish Cup - Copa del Rey Tickets

Levante UD might not be one of the most recognisable clubs in the world, however they have started to establish themselves in the Spanish game and the domestic tournaments played; with improvements trying to be made in regards to how well they do in the Copa del Rey. The club, who hail from Valencia, have managed to reach a semi-final on at least one occasion, but fans continue to go to the 26,354 capacity Ciutat de València stadium when the tournament appears on their schedule each season in the hope they will improve on previous outings.

The club, who are also known as Granotas by their fans or those associated with the team, may not have been the biggest side in the country, however they have still had some quality individuals as part of their squad over the years. Men such as Nemanja Radoja, Borja Mayoral, José Campaña and Nikola Vukčević as well as others have all featured for the club.

As mentioned, Levante UD do not have the best record in the competition, having only reached the semi-final of the competition on just one occasion in their history prior to the 2020/21 campaign.

Granotas reached the Last Four of the tournament way back in the 1934/35 season, having been beaten by CD Sabadell 1-4 over two legs. However, they have improved remarkably since that time and have started to mount more of a challenge with each edition that is played.

Indeed, whilst memorable moments and accomplishments might be a little hard to find for Levante UD, the club did have a reasonable outing in the 2018/19 edition of the Copa del Rey.

The Valencian outfit managed to reach the Round of 16 in that particular tournament, having beaten Lugo in the Round of 32 before having to go and meet FC Barcelona in the next round; losing 4-2 on aggregate in the process.

That showing came a year after their Round of 16 match against RCD Espanyol in which they were able to reach the same stage, having beaten Girona in the Round of 32.
