I Nerazzurri managed to reach the grand stage having beaten the likes of Cagliari Calcio, Juventus FC 3-0 and AFC Fiorentina 5-4 on aggregate before succumbing to SS Lazio 2-0 in the final.

Atalanta B.C. also had a rather solid showing in the 2017/18 Coppa Italia as well, having reached the semi-final of the competition before being beaten by Juventus FC. Therefore, it is hardly a surprise so many fans flock to the Gewiss Stadium when the tournament appears on the schedule.
