About Brescia Coppa Italia
Brescia History in the Coppa Italia
Brescia Calcio may not necessarily have a storied history with the Coppa Italia competition, however that has not stopped fans from passionately supporting their side when they participate in the domestic cup tournament. Therefore, the 19,500 capacity Stadio Mario Rigamonti becomes a brilliant venue to witness some great football.
Nicknamed Le Rondinelle and I Biancazzurri or even La Leonessa, the club have had a number of decent players to turn out in their colours over the years in the Coppa Italia, with men such as Mario Balotelli, Sandro Tonali, Birkir Bjanarson, whilst legendary figures Gheorghe Hagi, Andrea Pirlo, Pep Guardiola and Roberto Baggio also made several appearances.
Brescia's Top Achievements In the Coppa Italia
Brescia Calcio have not had great success when it comes to the tournament, as they have not been able to reach a final since being formed in 1911. Over the years, the club have found it incredibly difficult to build any momentum in the tournament as they appear to go out in the early stages more often than not.
Le Rondinelle have come up against the likes of UC Sampdoria, Perugia and Bologna which has perhaps been a reason as to why they have struggled to get beyond those rounds and reach the final round of the tournament.
