January 2011 saw another engrossing encounter with Nenad Milijas putting Wolves ahead before Carlos Tevez (twice), Kolo Toure, and Yaya Toure gave City a 4-1 lead after 66 minutes. Kevin Doyle reduced arrears on 68 minutes with a penalty, and Ronald Zubar pulled another back, but City held out for the win.

Wolves did manage a rare Premier League win at the Etihad Stadium when speed merchant Adama Traore had the game of his life, scoring twice to give the away side a 2-0 win in October 2019.
