Sheffield United might not be the most recognised side to be known from English football, however the Blades have certainly started to make a name for themselves in the upper echelons of the nation’s domestic game. That reputation can also include in the FA Cup, as the Yorkshire outfit have gone from strength to strength and have continued to battle hard for victories on the pitch in every competition they feature in. With Bramall Lane being the possible venue for fixtures, a capacity crowd of 32,125 can be extremely lively and raucous for the spectacle the ‘magic of the cup’ can provide.

The Blades are not a side to have been blessed with a number of superstar names from the world of football, however they have had some exciting stars in the past to help them on their quest to improve with each season they play. Wins in 1898/99, 1901/02, 1914/15 and 1924/25 show that the Blades were one of the best clubs around in the early stages of the professional sport, although it has been an incredibly long time since they reached the final with their last outing back in 1935/36.

Sheffield United continued to show they were going from strength to strength under Wilder in the 2019/20 campaign when the manager had guided them to a FA Cup quarter-final tie with Arsenal, giving them their best competition finish in recent memory for an extraordinarily long time.

On their way to facing the Gunners, the Blades overcame tricky ties against AFC Fylde, Millwall and Reading to reach the last eight of the tournament and will be looking to improve on that in further editions of the tournament.
