These two have a number of connections when it comes to former players; here are a few of the stars who have worn both Fulham and Arsenal colours over the years.

Forward Andy Cole, who failed to break through at Arsenal, spent a spell on loan at Fulham before achieving great success at Manchester United and Newcastle United. Portuguese winger Luis Boa Morte played for both clubs and served as a coach at Craven Cottage also.

German keeper Bernd Leno left Arsenal for Fulham in 2022, and Willian made a similar switch, albeit spending a brief spell in Brazil in between.

Fulham vs Arsenal Head to Head

When Arsenal traveled to west London to face Fulham in Premier League action for the first time in September 2001, it was the first league meeting between the two since 1967.

Arsene Wenger’s side took the lead that day through Freddie Ljungberg before Steed Malbranque leveled just after half-time. Thierry Henry and Dennis Bergkamp both netted in the final ten minutes to give the Gunners a win.

It took a while, but Fulham finally beat Arsenal on their own turf in November 2006, with Brian McBride and Tomasz Radzinksi both scoring within the first twenty minutes. Robin van Persie responded near half-time, but any hope of recovery was extinguished when Philippe Senderos was sent off after 66 minutes.

In October 2019, Arsenal absolutely put Fulham to the sword with Alexandre Lacazette scoring twice before Aaron Ramsey grabbed a third, with Andre Schurrle having pulled a goal back for Fulham before sub Pierre-Emerick Aubamyeang scored twice late on to complete a 5-01 rout.

In both 2020/21 and 2022/23, Arsenal registered 3-0 wins at Craven Cottage, and the Emirates Stadium side certainly have the upper hand in this fixture. In the first of those two matches, goals from Lacazette, Gabriel, and Aubemayang did the damage, and in the latter, Gabriel, Martin Odegaard, and Gabriel Martinelli all scored, with Leandro Trossard providing assists for all three.
