Fulham vs Tottenham History

The connections between these London rivals are plentiful, with countless players having represented both Tottenham and Fulham. Here are just a few examples.

Midfielder Alan Mullery started his career at Fulham, playing over 360 times for the side in two spells, between he enjoyed eight years at White Hart Lane, making 312 appearances in the process. Other players of a similar era to play for both teams include Cliff Jones and Terry Dyson.

Japanese international Junichi Inamoto pulled a goal back with 20 minutes to play, and a Steed Malbranque penalty made it 2-2, with Sylvain Legwinski scoring a last-gasp winner for the Cottagers.

In 2010/11, the two traded off mixed results in this fixture. In October 2010, Tottenham triumphed in the Premier League clash thanks to goals from Roman Pavyluchenko and Tom Huddlestone, with Diomansy Kamara grabbing a goal back in a 2-1 loss.

However, three months later, in an FA Cup clash, Fulham put Tottenham to the sword with Danny Murphy scoring two spot-kicks and Brede Hangeland and Mousa Dembele also netting in a 4-0 thumping which was undoubtedly affected by the early sending off of centre-back Michael Dawson.

In 2022/23, Marco Silva’s side were powerless to prevent a narrow loss when goal machine Harry Kane scored the only goal of the game just before half-time.

Indeed Kane is a player who likes to take on Fulham, the England international scoring seven goals in six games between the two from 2017 to 2023.
