Tottenham vs. Fulham History

Tottenham and Fulham have a lengthy history, and a number of key players and managers have represented both teams with distinction.

Legendary midfielder Alan Mullery started his career at Fulham before spending eight years at Tottenham and then returned to Craven Cottage. In total, he played almost a combined 700 times for the two teams.

These London rivals have met almost 100 times, and it’s fair to say that Spurs have the upper hand, especially in matches that have taken place at White Hart Lane and their new home, the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

In 2009/10, the two teams met on no less than four occasions. They drew each other in the FA Cup Quarter-Finals, with Harry Redknapp’s men securing a goalless draw at Craven Cottage to set up a replay at White Hart Lane.

Unfortunately, Redknapp’s men then surprisingly lost to Portsmouth in the Semi-Finals.

Fulham wins at Tottenham don’t occur often, but in March 2013, Martin Jol, who managed both teams, took his Cottagers side to White Hart Lane and emerged victorious thanks to a solitary goal from Dimitar Berbatov, another individual who appeared for both sides over the course of his splendid career.

In 2022/23, Tottenham edged out Fulham with Pierre Hojbjerg and Harry Kane scoring and Aleksandar Mitrovic providing the sole response from Marco Silva’s side.
