About Belgium vs Turkey Euro 2024 Tickets

The Euros first kicked off in 1960 and was a relatively low-key affair. Only four teams took part in the finals that year, as was the case for every edition of the competition until 1980, when the size doubled.

Another format change came about in 1996, and as of 2020, that total has increased to 24 nations battling out in the finals, which, of course, come after an exhaustive qualifying process, and the tournament is, arguably, a tougher one to win than the FIFA World Cup due to the relative lack of poor quality countries that take part.

Interest from fans in the competition is at an all-time high, and therefore, trying to get tickets for key qualifying games and the finals themselves is a very tough task. Accessing these via UEFA’s official channels.

The governing body of European football runs a lottery-style system for these tickets to begin with, and fans apply before they even know which teams will be taking part, and even then, the chances are stacked against you.

SeatPick simplifies the process. We work with hundreds of trusted ticket resellers, and that means users of our service can access a wide range of tickets for every game, including this tasty-looking Belgium vs Turkey encounter.

Belgium vs Turkey UEFA Euros Tournament Record

Belgium’s form in the UEFA European Championship has been patchy at best but has improved of late.

Two of their first four finals campaigns included two that they qualified for on account of being the hosts (In 1972 and as co-hosts with the Netherlands in 2000), and they didn’t exactly set the world alight in either of those. In 1980, they did do well to reach the final before losing to West Germany in Rome.

Between 1988 and 2012, Belgium failed to successfully qualify for a competition that they did not host, but at Euro 2016, they finally started to deliver on their very obvious potential.

Marc Wilmots coached the Red Devils to the Quarter-Finals of the competition in France before surprisingly losing to Wales. At Euro 2020, which was delayed until 2021, Belgium won all three of their group games and defeated Portugal in the Round of 16 but then failed to overcome an organized Italian side in the Quarter-Finals, with Roberto Mancini’s side then going on to win the competition.

Turkey first qualified for the UEFA European Championship finals in 1996 and lost all three of their group games without scoring a goal. At Euro 2000, they greatly improved and made it through to the knockout phase.

In the Quarter-Finals, they were defeated by Portugal, with Nuno Gomes scoring twice in a 2-0 win in Amsterdam.

At Euro 2008, Fatih Terim’s side went one better. Having finished second in their group after completing a stunning comeback win over the Czech Republic, Turkey then beat Croatia on penalties to set up a Semi-Final with Germany.

Turkey put up a real fight in Basel before losing 3-2 to a 90th-minute winner from Philipp Lahm. Both Euro 2016 and 2020 saw the Ay-Yıldızlılar fall at the group stage hurdle.

Belgium vs Turkey Head-to-Head

Belgium and Turkey have met in three UEFA European Championship matches, though only one of these came in the finals.

Turkey faced Belgium in the group stage on that occasion, and the two sides met in a must-win clash for both nations in Brussels.

Belgium would have fancied their chances of success in front of a vociferous home crowd, but Hakan Sukur scored twice to send Turkey through at their expense.
