Brentford vs Burnley History
The first-ever meeting between these teams came in the 1933/34 season of the old Second Division. They reconvened in the Fifth Round of the 1949 FA Cup. Brentford ran out 4-2 winners before elimination to eventual runners-up Leicester City.
While Brentford have yet to win a first major trophy, Burnley have a bit of history to look back on. Being a founder member of the Football League in 1888, Burnley celebrated trophy success in the early 20th century. The Clarets were winners of the FA Cup in 1914 and collected the First Division title twice, in 1921 and 1960.

These teams met in the 1960/61 League Cup. At the time, Burnley were the reigning champions of England and duly won this third round tie.
In the 2003 FA Cup, the Bees and the Clarets clashed in the Fourth Round as the latter won 3-0 at Griffin Park.
