Germany vs Serbia UEFA Euros Tournament Record
Germany Euro 2024 have won the UEFA European Championships on three occasions, the first two of which came prior to reunification.
West Germany first qualified for the UEFA Euro Finals in 1972 and went on to win the tournament, with Gerd Muller scoring twice in a 3-0 win over the Soviet Union. In 1980 they won the competition again, this time beating Belgium in the final.
Their third success came in England in 1996, with Berti Vogts’ side defeating England in the Semi-Finals before edging out the Czech Republic 2-1, with Oliver Bierhoff scoring twice at Wembley Stadium in the final.
They reached the final again in 2008, where they lost to Spain thanks to a goal from Fernando Torres.
Serbia Euro 2024 have never previously qualified for the UEFA European Championships, but the former republic of Yugoslavia have done so on many occasions. In both 1960 and 1968, they were defeated finalists, and as recently as 2000, they reached the Quarter-Finals of the competition.

Germany and Serbia have never met in UEFA European Championship action, but they did do battle in the FIFA 2010 World Cup Finals in the group phase.
A solitary goal from Milan Jovanovic gave the Serbs a surprise win in Port Elizabeth though it was Germany who eventually qualified from the group, while their opponents failed to do so.
